Western Region - Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE)

There are 4 types of funding currently available.

Research and Education Grants - preproposals due in June with full proposals due in November.

Farmer/Rancher Grants - proposals due in December.

Professional & Producer Grants - proposals due in December.

Professional Development Program Grants - proposals are due in November.

Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS

The Organization for Economic and Cooperation Development (OECD) is again sponsoring travel fellowships among member countries.  Intended for young scientists, fellowships are awarded under the Biological Resource Management for Sustainable Agricultural Systems Program.

Applications are usually due in October.

National Research Initiative (NRI)

Fall 2004 applications are now closed.  The same topics with similar deadlines are expected for next year.
